Day 19 of 30 Days of Movies
Favorite movie based on a book/comic/etc.
I’m guessing we’re going to see a lot of Dark Knights cropping up for this entry and whilst I love The Dark Knight (it’s one of my favorite films).  The reboot, and subsequent success of the Batman franchise made caused every superhero franchise to go ‘dark’, and made them forget their comic roots and then Iron Man came along.
From the get-go this film was the breath of fresh that the genre needed: brash, cocky, intelligent and most importantly, fun. Director Jon Favreau and star Robert Downey Jnr knew exactly what they were doing with film and created a film that knew you don’t have to be serious to be awesome.
