I’ve avoided talking about the Lost finale at all, mostly because it’s all open to interpretation and I truly believe everyone can have their own theory. I cannot definitively answer the question “So what does it all mean?”

However, I can answer the question of “What was the best scene of the season?” You can find it above. This interaction is great for a number of reasons. Most notably, it’s free of any sort of nostalgic callback (even though I love that type of stuff). Secondly, it provides a fitting resolution for two characters who were more opposed than any other pair on the show. Locke actually forgives Ben Linus, the man who murdered him, and in a completely believable fashion.

If you ever thought that Benjamin Linus wasn’t the most complex, compelling character on the show, or that Michael Emerson isn’t a great character actor, here is proof that you are wrong.

Very well said. I agree with you 100%.

Yep.

This.  What I want to know though is when it comes to the Emmys, which one of these guys is going to take it home?  I think it’ll be Emerson myself, but both of them are equally deserving of the prize.
